Yacht exterior design
The outer line of a yacht is what anyone sees first. We draw the silhouette, the deck layout and the outdoor living spaces by thinking about how the yacht sits in the water and how it will be used.

A silhouette should read like a sentence
In the profile and form study we work on proportion, the flow of the lines and how the superstructure relates to the hull. The aim is a line that is recognisable from afar and does not date.

A deck is designed to be lived on
The aft deck, sunbathing areas, swim platform and dining spaces are placed for how they will be used at every hour of the day. We keep guest and crew circulation separate while staying close to the water and the view.
What is included?

Good to know
What does yacht exterior design cover?
It covers the yacht's profile and form, deck layout, outdoor equipment, colour and finish scheme, and technical drawing sets. We set the scope together around your project.
Do you also design the hull?
Our exterior work focuses on the silhouette, decks and superstructure. For hull engineering and hydrodynamics we work alongside the relevant engineering and shipyard teams.
What is the benefit of taking interior and exterior from one studio?
When the materials and mood inside connect to the decks outside through one design language, the yacht reads as a whole. Decisions come from one hand, so conflicting details and repeated revisions are fewer.
Do the exterior images on the site show a real yacht?
No. Lodos 36 and the other concepts are the studio's own design studies, not delivered yachts.
Let's talk about your project.
Describe your yacht and your idea in a few sentences and we will work out the right first step together.
